It may take a while, but knowing Fox, they will return the show with the freshest and original material to show the awaiting fans that there is more life to the "X-Files".
It's fair to say that last year's "The X-Files" revival didn't exactly set the world on fire. FOX president David Madden told reporters at the TCA winter press tour on Wednesday, January 11 that they're nearing a deal for more episodes of the drama that was revived with a tenth season a year ago.
The "X-Files" series is not a usual sci-fi series and that is what people love about it and that is why despite the urge to see what will happen next, they just keep their fingers crossed while waiting for the next season. It seems that there is a big possibility that a season 11 of the popular show might show by 2018. Madden says FOX plans to make a season order larger than six episodes.More news: Rolf Harris 'molested blind woman at Moorfields Eye Hospital'
"There's a lot of conversations going on", said FOX's President of Entertainment David Madden. Back in August, TV Guide reported that 'significant talks with the three principals" - that'd be creator Chris Carter and stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson - had begun. However, Madden sparked hope in fans by saying the network hopes to "announce something shortly" regarding the series. Many are of course hoping for more episodes and a conclusion to the cliffhanger that ended season 10.
