Father: 'Fabinho favours Manchester City move'

AS Monaco right-back Fabinho is one of the most interesting fullbacks available in the market next summer.

However, Fabinho's father has now indicated that the Brazilian may yet head to the Premier League after confirming that as many as three clubs in England are interested.

Manchester United and Manchester City are reportedly battling each other in the pursuit of Monaco defender Djibril Sidibe.

His father Joao, talking to French TV, said: 'We have been in talks with Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and approached by Barcelona.

Fabinho has scored five times in 24 Ligue 1 appearances for table-topping Monaco this season, while he also appeared five times in his club's Champions League group-stage campaign.

Because according to another exclusive by Le10sport, who either have a very good contact within Monaco or writers with active imaginations, Monaco's star right-back is on Manchester City's radar.

"We like Manchester United and Mourinho's work, but we have a soft spot for Manchester City".

Arsenal have endured midfield problems again this season and they could certainly do with a player of Fabinho's quality to provide some much-needed protection to the back four.
