There were recent reports claiming that Affleck and Garner were trying to work on their marriage and had made a decision to call off the divorce after hitting a rough patch that almost led to the celebrity couple splitting up permanently. He's not the villain here, and he really doesn't need any more criticism over what was arguably the right decision to step away from The Batman and seek medical attention. You pestered and bugged Ben Affleck until he quit because you were so desperate to have the movie in theaters by 2018.

There's already been rumblings that production would be bumped to 2018 due to director Reeves' prior commitment to the Planet of the Apes franchise (and, as reported earlier today, Affleck's current treatment for alcohol addiction). She's "supported me and cared for our kids as I've done the work I set out to do", Affleck wrote.

Despite announcing their separation nearly two years ago, Affleck and Garner are reportedly putting their divorce plans on hold.

In his frank post, the troubled star, who recently stepped away from directing The Batman, acknowledged his past mistakes and looked forward to a future free from booze.

Along with Samuel, Ben has two other children - Violet, 11 and Seraphina who is eight-years-old.

This is not Affleck's first trip to rehab. I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be.

Ben, his brother Casey Affleck, and his BFF Matt Damon are all Oscars winners.

A source close to Affleck tells ET that while the actor has struggled with partying and addiction issues for years, his relationship with Garner was good for him, adding that she was instrumental in helping him settle down.

"After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the hard decision to divorce", the pair said in a joint statement to E!
