Good Friday, Holy Saturday services in York, Chester, Lancaster counties

Emerson Street Church of Christ will hold a Sunday morning service April 16 at 10 a.m.

The Methodist Men and Lydia Circle will be sponsoring a Fish Fry immediately after the egg hunt. Services are on Easter if not otherwise noted. Christ Chapel will also hold three Easter Sunday services at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m.

The ROCK United Methodist Church, 210-573-4519, will have an Easter service at 11 a.m.

Emmanuel Community Church, 180 Western Ave., 10 a.m. Sunday service.

There will be an offering for Extended Hands Food Bank as well as a request to bring a non-perishable food item at the event.

MARENGO - Morrow Bible Church is having community services to remember Christ's death and resurrection. "On Saturday, we are providing a hassle-free, mess-free opportunity for families to dye and decorate their hard-boiled eggs in our recreation room, and join their kids in a search for hidden signs of Easter around the church".

April 14, 8 a.m. morning prayer at Our Lady's; Stations of the Cross, noon, at St. Ann's; and Good Friday services: 3 p.m.at St. Joachim's, and 7 p.m.at Our Lady's.

Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church will host a Good Friday service at 7 p.m.

Good Friday service, April 14, at 7 p.m.in the sanctuary. Cedar's Sunday worship will be at 11 a.m.

There will be two Easter services Sunday morning in Holyoke, with the first at 8:15 a.m.

The church hosts worship services at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. The United Methodist Men will serve breakfast in the fellowship hall following the service. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

A Maundy Thursday service will be held on Thursday, April 13 at 7:30 pm and will feature a foot washing and stripping of the altar. Mass will be held on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Calvary Baptist Church Kilmarnock presents the "Seven Sayings from the Cross" at 7 p.m. delivered by Pastors Darryl Fisher, Jerusalem Baptist Church; Connie Jones, Siloam Baptist Church; Gernard Reed, Mulberry Baptist Church; Alvin Hill, Mt. Zion Baptist Church; Ernest Webster, Hartswell Baptist Church; Rose Curry, Willie Chapel Baptist Church; and Peyton Waller, New St. John Baptist Church. General admission pricing, children of different age groups will be diving for eggs in a pool. The service continues with the readings of the story of salvation from the Old and New testaments followed by Holy Communion. Worship will be at 9 a.m. There will be no evening worship services. Sunrise Service on April 16 will start at 7:00 a.m. and a breakfast to follow. Maundy Thursday, April 13, service at 7:30 p.m. commemorating the Lord's Supper.

The all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast is Saturday from 7:30-10:30 a.m.at 191 E. Gladys Ave. The church is located at 344 Sheldon St. Ecumenical Good Friday Stations of the Cross, 6:30 p.m. Friday beginning at The Well parking lot and ending with worship at Fountain Park.

First Baptist Church, 830-947-3333, will offer breakfast at 9:15 a.m. Sunday school is set for 9:45 a.m. Sessions will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. April 28 and from 9 a.m.to 3 p.m. April 29.

House of God Tabernacle will celebrate Easter with a sunrise service Sunday, April 16 at 6 a.m.

The Easter weekend is upon us, meaning it is time for special Holy Week services and Easter Egg Hunts. Events are on Easter if not otherwise noted.

Calvary Christian Center in Ormond Beach has scheduled a community egg hunt for April 15 at 10 a.m.at 1687 W. Grenada Blvd. At 11 a.m., the Chancel Choir will perform and Senior Pastor Richard DenUyl, Jr. will be preaching.

St. Rest Baptist Church will host its annual Easter Service at 8 a.m., and at 9 a.m., the children's Easter program will be held.
