Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens December from Disney, parent company of Lucasfilm and ABC News.

Luke Skywalker is back - and he gets to speak this time! "The strong soldier she was and the vulnerable side, who fought her own dark side".

To which Luke responds, "It's so much bigger".

The arrival on our computer, phone and television screens of a teaser for "Star Wars: The Last Jedi", slated for release December 15 in theaters.

It will also be Carrie Fisher's final film: Production on Star Wars: The Last Jedi, in which Fisher returns as Princess Leia, wrapped in July, almost five months before the actress' unexpected death. Love the opening note, with Rey popping into frame breathing heavily, which is an echo of the first teaser for The Force Awakens.

Fisher's daughter Billie Lourd shared a lesson her mother taught her as she introduced the video - which includes footage of the latest film in the sci fi franchise The Last Jedi.

After getting two "Star Wars" in two years, I'll admit the rush of getting a new installment has lost a little of its special luster.

Sadly Carrie Fisher passed away late previous year which saddened a lot of Star Wars fans all over the world.

Director Rian Johnson unveiled a teaser at the "Star Wars Celebration" fan event in Orlando, Florida, on Friday. So now we know exactly what the title is about. Mixing it with smarts and wit, she was always amusing and aware, and never afraid to hold anything back, as noted by the many interviews - some of which you will see in the video.

The trailer focuses on Rey's Jedi training under the tutelage of Luke Skywalker. Creator George Lucas summed it up beautifully, "She was a princess, she was a senator, and she played a part that was very smart".
