Johnson & Johnson, Harley-Davidson Beat On Earnings, Miss On Sales

Harley-Davidson's motorcycle sales fell 16.5% to $1.1 billion during the first quarter, coming up just barely short of the consensus at $1.11 billion. Citigroup Inc cut their target price on Harley-Davidson from $73.00 to $68.00 and set a "buy" rating on the stock in a research report on Monday, March 6th.

"First quarter USA retail sales were in line with our projections and we remain confident in our full-year plan despite global retail sales being down in the first quarter", said Matt Levatich, CEO, Harley-Davidson. During the same quarter in the previous year, the business earned $1.36 EPS.
